This Sunday night it was so sweet to look around and see a community of people praising God for all that He has been doing in family, friends, TCC, and throughout the world. It was sweet because it was another realization that we are aimed towards that which we say we want to be about. Namely, lifting the name and fame of Jesus up through the way we declare and demonstrate the gospel. The truth is that as we live as family, servants, learners, and missionaries in this world we have a desperate need to be in communication with our God. He’s not a far off force, or a gob of spiritual goo in the heavens, He is our Creator, our Savior, our Sustainer, He’s the one who has redeemed us and who sends us out on mission. Prayer is simply those conversations we have with God.
So as a family what can we be talking with God about this week? Feel free to post areas where you are seeing God’s grace so we can thank Him together, areas where you are experiencing brokenness so we can cry and interceed for each other, and whatever else you want your family to be lifting up to our Father together…

I’ll start: Pray that the community of TCC would remember how to make comments on the blog.
Seriously, my younger brother and his wife are coming in town today. They are looking at houses and planning on moving out here from Memphis in the Spring. Please be praying for us to grow our relationship with them.

Would anyone like to come pray at ASU on Sunday morning? Anytime before 2pm works for me.

I will be back in Kansas visiting my parents, grandparents, and brother’s family this weekend. It will be a fairly short trip, but please pray that we will have quality time together and good conversations.

So I got an MRI earlier this week and found out my back and leg issues are from a herniated disc at the bottom of my spine. It’s been super frustrating not mainly because it hurts, but because: a) I like running around and being active, and b) I don’t like spending money on it. So please be praying firstly that I would have a good, learning attitude before the Father, and also for supernatural healing. Our King is awesome!!!

We serve an AWESOME GOD!! I interviewed for 2 positions this week, and I received a phone call and offer this morning for the position in Scottsdale. I had received an e-mail late yesterday that I did not get the position at the Shearton.
I have accepted the position with the company in Scottsdale and I will start October 27th. I just want to thank everyone for all of the prayers, love and help that I have received as I have been walking through this journey. A few weeks ago I received some words of encouragement from Kevin on our blog, and that day I started to read the book of Job again, I finished the book of Job this morning. We all now how that ends.
I know that God will bring me through any crisis that I may go through in my life, I just need to remember that I am His and that he knows what is best for me.
Love to all
Emily
